What is the Girls' Brigade?

The Girls’ Brigade was formed in 1968 but its roots actually go back over a century to the establishment of The Girls’ Guildry in Glasgow in 1900. The Girls’ Brigade offers a four sided programme – Spiritual, Physical, Education and Service – tailor made for each age range, offering awards based on skills and activities where girls can attain a sense of achievement based on individual capabilities.

The aim of The Girls’ Brigade is "to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self control, reverence and a sense of responsibility, find true enrichment of life" and their motto is “Seek, Serve and Follow Christ.”
